(no subject)

Apologies for disappearing last night. There was an Incident involving and half a diet vanilla Coke. Yeah, that was about an hour's work with a screwdriver, pliers, and about sixty paper towels. But on the plus side, I decided that as long as the faceplate (which, I hasten to add, is entirely separate from all electronic parts) was off, it could use a good cleaning. So a few minutes under a high-pressure sink expelled some massive gobbets of dust and cat hair, and the spaces betwene the keys are actually white again. And I figured out how to remove the individual keyes, so I'm now officially an electronic menace.

More icons!

And while I'm here, I absolutely have to make a music recommendation to all of you: Casey Stratton. I heard him at Barnes and Noble last week and had to go right out and buy the album. He's got the voice of an angel -- a female angel, with this beautiful low alto sound -- and the music he writes is just lovely. It's mostly gentle stuff, but there's some very brooding pieces, and one ("Blood") that just nails you to the chair. The album is called "Standing on the Edge;" look for it!
